Dear Eva!
How are you honey? Im fine.
You know that Im rentired now. So I had in the last weeks and months a lot of time to thinking about my life about the past and also what will happen in the future.
I remembered me at my childhood and schooltime, at my first love. At all these situations I gained experiences and learned a lot.
I will tell you that you can learn in every situation and the whole life, wheter in school, from your parents or when you just have a conversation with somebody. But you have to be receptive and you must want to learn. Without of own volition the best teacher cant help you.
Socrates said one day:
I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think.
And when you have a bad day or you got a miserable mark dont worry, honey! Because, you learn by experiences and from mistakes.
I think volition, powerfulness and open mindedness, which are really matter for learn in life have you learn by your parents.
Keep my advices in mind!

Adverbiale Bestimmungen wie "in the last weeks and months" immer am besten an den Anfang oder ans Ende setzen. In dem Fall natürlich erst nach dem "so"

Und "gained experience" finde ich eigentlich sehr schön...

Ich glaube, "powerfulness" gibt es nicht, ist zumindest nicht in diesem guten Onlinewörterbuch zu finden, das ich sehr empfehlen kann: http://dict.leo.org Vielleicht meinst du eher "strength"?

Oh, sorry, das ist mir aber peinlich... Da hab ich wohl nicht genau hingeschaut... Aber es war ja auch schon spät

Also, ich weiß nur, dass das ja ein fest stehender Begriff für "Erfahrung sammeln" ist, siehe ![[]](/images/popup.gif) hier
Auch sonst ist das ein Begriff, den ich sehr oft höre und mir persönlich gefällt er vom Sprachgefühl her auch besser als "reach experience", das ich bisher eher selten gehört habe, aber kann natürlich sein, dass das woanders unterschiedlich gesehen wird...

Gut, ich denke, das ist in diesem Fall egal, da auch dieses Wörterbuch für die Nachfrage "Erfahrung sammeln" "to gain experience" ausgibt
Ansonsten habe ich Leo von einer Lektorin empfohlen bekommen, nachdem ich bis dato noch kein anständiges Online-Lexikon gefunden hatte. Ich hab damit bisher keine negativen Erfahrungen gemacht, was v.a. daran liegt, dass ich es weniger für "professionelle Zwecke" benutze, sondern vielmehr privat. Ich studiere ja kein Englisch, sondern Mathe. Obwohl es mir für meine englischen Mathe-Texte bisher auch teilweise gut geholfen hat... Aber danke für den Tipp, kann sicher nicht schaden, zwei gute Online-Wörterbücher zu kennen...
